The Norco Citizens Patrol was formed in 1995 to assist the City of Norco's contract police force, the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. 

Norco Citizens Patrol is a team of trained volunteers who enhance crime prevention services and community awareness through proactive law enforcement practices. Citizen Patrol members do not take enforcement action, carry weapons or make arrests. Suspicious activity is reported to the Sheriff's Department's Dispatch Center.
