2014 State of the City Address
Attached is the 2014 State of the City Address as presented by Mayor Berwin Hanna.

Resident Application to Serve on the City's Future Infrastructure and Funding Needs Ad-Hoc Committee
The City Council approved the formation of an Ad-Hoc Committee to review the City's future infrastructure needs and recommend funding options. Attached is information that has been, and continues to be, presented in regards to the City's future infrastructure needs. The City Council will appoint three (3) residents to serve on this Committee. Those residents will serve along with two (2) City Council Members and four (4) representatives from the City's commissions and Economic Development Advisory Council, with a total of nine (9) Ad-Hoc Committee members. If any Norco residents are interested in, and committed to serving on the Ad-Hoc Committee, please complete the attached application   (applications are also available at City Hall) and submit it to the City Clerk no later than Thursday, May 1, 2014. No applications will be received after that date.

Public Notice for Vacancies on the City of Norco Commissions and the Economic Development Advisory Council
The City of Norco is accepting applications for the following Commissions: Historic Preservation Commission (two openings) (additional form submittal required), Parks and Recreation Commission (one opening), Planning Commission (two openings) and the Streets, Trails and Utilities Commission (one opening).  Applications are also being accepted for the Economic Development Advisory Council (EDAC)(four vacancies). Please view the attached press release for additional information regarding service on the City's commissions and EDAC.  The deadline for receipt of applications is Thursday, May 22, 2014.  Applications can be downloaded by clicking on the respective commission name.

I-15 Express Lanes Project Public Open House
The Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC) is holding a public open house on Tuesday, April 29th from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Norco Community Center, Riley Gymnasium, 3900 Acacia Avenue, Norco, CA  92860, to provide information regarding the I-15 Express Lanes Project.  Please attend to hear about the project process and the addition of one to two tolled express lanes in each direction. Chino Desalter Authority Construction of the Phase 3 Expansion
The Chino Desalter Authority has begun construction of their Phase 3 Expansion, Product Water Pipeline Project. This is a multi-jurisdictional project and the waterline enters Norco along Hamner Avenue and connects to a waterline that was installed as part of the Hamner Avenue Widening Project. The waterline will leave Hamner Avenue at the Santa Ana River and be bored under the River to connect to an existing connection point at the north end of Old Hamner Road.
